There is a good deal of cash to be won on DraftKings including a top prize of $25k from the tournament. DK also has lots of Qualifier competitions on this week, in which the final event will pay $50k to 1st for those who did qualify to perform inside. I’ll be pursuing those as well since we’ve never had a $50k 1st place prize and I need it. We didn’t have one fight fall away but we still have a 13-fight card. This is a superb card to construct your bankroll to get the very first Sunday of NFL so you can chase that $1M.
Money Game play of the week — Zabit Magomedsharipov ($9,400)
Zabit is going to be super chalky in tournament. Everyone who’d Shevchenko within their lineup will change to Zabit and that he will probably be the most owned fighter around the slate. In cash games we don’t really care about ownership as much and I am going to be starting my cash team with Zabit. I think he is the easiest triumph on the card and he’s the maximum ceiling as well. I believe if you would like to find sneaky and not utilize Zabit, the GPPs are the place to do that. Lock him and take the easy triumph. Then you only need to find about 3 other wins and you should have a winning money team.
GPP drama of the week — Alex White ($8,600)
I think Jim Miller is near the end of his profession and I am thinking this is going to be the last time we see him in the UFC. I think he is going to be handed his 5th loss in a row here and I am guessing it is going to be via knockout. I believe Alex White will be too strong and quick for Jim Miller at this stage in his career and I think he will be able to keep this fight on the feet. With everyone paying up for Zabit in GPPs, Alex White and some other mid-range favorites could be a fantastic way to go to make your lineups more contrarian and attempt to find 1st place in a GPP that way. I really do like White a good bit in this fight and I think he has 100+ point potential at a $8.6k salary. He is my GPP play of the week.
Underdog play of the week — Diego Sanchez ($7,300)
Diego Sanchez is my underdog drama of the week since I don’t think Craig White is any good. Sanchez may be completely taken, and if this is the case he can get KO’d early. But I don’t think Craig White should be -200 contrary to some other UFC fighter. Diego is cheap enough where it allows you to find some of those higher favorites you like on your lineup, and I believe he will get a decision win here. He will be my pick to win, however it’s not a certain pick and I believe he makes for a better GPP play than cash punt.
Fade of this week — Aljamain Sterling ($8,500)
I am looking forward to watching this battle and I’ll be picking Aljo to get the win . My issue is that I do not believe he is quite likely to score highly, and perhaps not even 10x his wages. I think a whole lot of this struggle will take place on the feet and Aljo does not throw at a high enough speed to score well in a striking match. He will need to get this fight to the ground a few times and rack up some advance points for him to score highly. I don’t see that happening. I believe this will be a very close fight and I’d rather just pay up for some of the fighters above Sterling. I believe we’d be taking a look at a score around 70-75 DK points using an Aljo decision win here.
